It’s an OK song with good arrangements, great guitar riffs and solos, but the vocal melody lacks that “something” that would have turned it into a great song. The distortion is used effectively, and is performed with the energy the song requires. I’ll leave the volume as it is.
By the way, @Meowson, in the future try to post a link to the song like we all do. It’s easy, just highlight the title of the song, go to the link icon you’ll find on the page when you’re posting, click and a window will open; there you paste the link to YouTube.
Now the Man in Black himself: Johnny Cash, singing one of the last songs he wrote before dying:
I simply love the lyrics –and the music of course. The best version I could find has subtitles embedded (in Portuguese, specially for @Rita Eleanor), but they don’t bother me at all. Let me know what you guys think.

UP… good tune.
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

Good song is that, tho i prefer the verses to the chorus.
It will almost certainly go over the heads of many here but there is a great mash-up of that song with Delia Smith, a famous UK chef for anyone who hasn't a scoobie who she is; it's in the spoiler.
Story behind it, the original video clip (you may want to prepare to cower in embarrassment).

Good Old Jimi is one of my favorite guitar players, composers and singers –the man excelled at those three things! I don’t listen to him so often because there are other musicians that I like more (Beatles, Sting, Suzanne Vega, Dire Straits, The Velvet Underground…) but definitely he’s one of the good people in my book. Good for you, @Necko. Turn it way up.
I’ve already posted this song in the Beware-Adult-Content thread of the Bible but I want all of you (even those of you who don't read the "Fifty Shades...") to listen to it. I think it has strong, mature lyrics and is, musically speaking, simply perfect.

It is very boring too me. Not a fan of just a guy talking with a few guitar chords being played sometimes. It also isn't all that 50 shades compared to a lot of songs

While I prefer other things they've done, I still enjoy that song quite a bit, love Clapton singin' blues and Duane knew how to wield a slide!

Turn it up, way up. Hendrix is almost always a safe bet. His sound (both guitar and voice) is… you listen for thirty seconds and you know it’s him.
Now for you a song I love both musically and lyrics-wise:
Faith No More – We Care A Lot
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

One After 909 Original 1963 Version
I Think that Rolling Stone should do a cover story of The Rolling Stones covering "Like a Rolling Stone" or if a Type of Beetle was named after The Beatles.

Well, thanks for posting, @The John, I was already thinking everybody hated We Care A Lot or had forgotten this thread…
One After 909 1963: Turn it up! I like the breaks in the rhythm and the bass line (the vocals not so much), and it’s a great song.
You’ve inspired me, @The John. Now let’s see what our fellow Beatle Biblers say about this rare version of
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

Indeed, it is hard to choose, isn’t it @Hey Jude !? At times I’ve thought I like this alternative version better…
Streets of Love: a good song, turn it up.
And now people, let me know what you think of this 1967 masterpiece (not liking is allowed, of course) from the album The Doors:
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)
