We usually had 4 pressing down thumbs…
Thinking about that game, it’s basically a game of ‘choose who your best friend is’, which is why I rarely got my thumbs put down, compared to the class’s sporty guy.

Offline Bad news. My laptop seems to have broken, so i won’t be able to post very often until it’s fixed. Even worse as I’m currently doing exams and it was a real tool for my revision. The good part is that I’m going to get it looked at shortly.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Offline Stupid things that Necko did that you should never do #7:
I had to replace the flint in my Zippo lighter this morning. Once the thing was in and working, I saw that it needed the lighter fluid replaced. I took it upstairs to the bathroom and started replacing the butane. I poured the stuff in it, and it overflowed a little. I figured “okay, that’s happened before and it was fine then. No big deal” (see Survivorship Bias). The fuel in, I decided to test it.

My hand was stinging. I looked over. I set my hand on fire.
Yeah…
I set my hand on fire. Quickly, I threw the lighter in the sink and flapped my hand to put it out. It still stung. My right hand was still on fire. I did the same thing. It worked. I looked into the sink to see the lighter still aflame. I turned on the water to put it out.
Don’t do this. Don’t ever do this. It hurts like hell. My right hand is covered in a second-degree burn.

The burns cover most of my hand, but it’s worst around my middle and ring fingers.

Offline I’ve been really pissed off lately, mainly because I wasn’t able to go onto the forum as well the fact that when I’m not on the forum or otherwise positively stimulated, I often think of bad things that have happened to me in the past, which will often lead me to anger and rage. But I’m not going to get into too much detail about my personal life because I doubt you want to hear about me being depressed.
@Necko that must really suck. In February, I got blisters on 2 of my fingers because I touched boiling hot candy. The one on my thumb wasn’t that bad but the one on my pointer lasted for about 2 weeks and when I finally removed the damaged skin from it, it was so deep that it looked blood red.
@Beatlebug I recommend being on the lookout for sir walter raleigh, who I think is nearby. Maybe he’ll even let you over for a visit if you ask nicely.
On another note, I’ve got a Windows 7 desktop that needs a new OS lying around in my room, so I’m going to put Ubuntu on it and see if I can get it working.

Also, @Dark Overlord: to put the smallest state of USA in perspective to the largest state of Australia, it would take more than 4 days to drive from the top of that state to the bottom.
