On Magical Mystery Tour , I made it and then found out GarageBand had an update. The update had a brass section sound in it, so would’ve sounded even better! Doh!

I was just about to ask you about this, I’m listening to it right now. By the way @The Hole Got Fixed (the only reason I’m @tting you is because this post is edited) how did you make 3 albums in 1 year, that’s almost as fast as Capitol released Beatles albums. When I first read the post I thought it was your band’s second album and then realized that you released your 2nd album while I was away. That’s very impressive that you did 3 albums in 1 year, even if they’re essentially cover albums.

Offline That sounds very cool! I really like the production, all the instruments have a great sound and they complement each other very well. Especially, solo guitar and piano have a really nice bright sound but most of the time I also quite liked the warm bass sound. And the keyboard in Superstition is awesome. 
Although I find A Hard Night’s Day very funny and the ending superb, my favourite track is definitely the Hey Jude cover! Boy, the Saxophone adds such a cool colour! What an uplifting track!

YES!!!!! I totally agree! As a matter of fact, I think I’ve once told you, months ago, in a PM, Holey, that I think you’re voice is a mixture of George, Ringo, and Syd and since then it has shifted even more towards Syd. It makes me quite happy that you hear it too, Silly Girl. 
And no, it’s not just a thing of being a Floyd Fan because I wasn’t back then.
What I think would be cool, if you covered it, is Taxman . It would fit your voice very good, I’m sure. But that’s just a thought.

Offline Haha, if you enjoyed that, I salute you – I find it much more painful to listen to than it was to make! That was from around January of 2014…I have several old CDRs worth of recordings I made of myself fooling around with a Korg MS-20 virtual softsynth about 2005 or so, and I had one of them playing in the background while I attacked the guitar…the strings were at least 15 years old and tuned waaaay down. So it was a self-duet.
A “jazz cigarette” was definitely involved. (DON’T DO DRUGS, KIDS!)
(BTW, the smaller of those square objects visible on the wall is my old 1966 copy of Revolver , given to me by my much older cousin who bought it upon release)

Offline My band has released our 5th album! Entitled ‘Something Old Something New Something Borrowed Something Blue’, it features 6 old songs redone, 6 new songs, an original 4-song medley about borrowing, and ‘Mr Blue Sky’.
It also features a cover of Come Together , and Imagine , and has 9 original songs.
With more than 23 hours of time spent recording, and countless hours mixing, it has been the biggest project undertaken by us so far…
I’d love to know what you all think, and also if there’s anything we can improve on?
