The Beatles’ Anthology 4 was released on 21 November 2025, as was the box set Anthology Collection.
Anthology 4 contains 13 previously-unreleased recordings – versions of ‘Tell Me Why’, ‘If I Fell’, ‘Matchbox’, ‘Every Little Thing’, ‘I Need You’, ‘I’ve Just Seen A Face’, ‘In My Life’, ‘Nowhere Man’, ‘Baby, You’re A Rich Man’, ‘All You Need Is Love’, ‘The Fool On The Hill’, ‘I Am The Walrus’, and ‘Hey Bulldog’. There were also remixes of the 1990s reunion songs ‘Free As A Bird’ and ‘Real Love’.
Anthology Collection contains all four Anthology albums, including remasters of Anthology 1 (1995), Anthology 2 (1996), and Anthology 3 (1996) by Giles Martin.
The releases come just days before the release of the Anthology documentary on Disney+. The eight-part TV series has been restored and expanded with a new ninth episode, and will stream from 26 November 2025. The new episode will contain previously-unseen behind-the-scenes footage of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr coming together in 1994 and 1995 to work on Anthology and reflecting on their shared life as The Beatles.

The fourth Anthology sticks out because it doesn’t really follow the format of the others. Although the tracks are chronological, it covers the entire span of their career unlike the earlier volumes which focused on a particular era.
As such, it might have been better to not release this volume at all. It doesn’t add anything of much value to the Beatles’ body of work. Lazy and pointless efforts like this do more harm than good to the Beatles’ reputation.
As a collector of Beatles bootleg CDs for 35 year, I find the unreleased tracks on vol. 4 to be a valuable addition to any fan’s archive. A worthy purchase indeed.
