Paul McCartney gave an impromtu performance at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, Queens, NYC, to celebrate the release of his album New.
The 90-minute show was watched by students, teachers and the school’s founder Tony Bennett. McCartney also answered a number of questions from the students.
The performance was streamed online by Yahoo!. It took place on McCartney’s second wedding anniversary, and what would have been John Lennon’s 73rd birthday.
The Frank Sinatra School of the Arts was set up in 2001 by Tony Bennett and his wife Susan Benedetto.
