The second recording session for John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Double Fantasy album took place on 8 August 1980.
I got a call at home after the first day, saying that the sessions were to be kept a secret and they’d rather I didn’t even tell anyone whom I was working for, let alone where. I took a taxi to the second day’s session, telling him ‘Forty-eighth and Ninth,’ to give me a little fresh air walk to the midblock studio. ‘That’s the block where John Lennon is recording,’ he said. I asked how he knew and he replied, ‘Heard it on the radio.’

Three tracks were worked on: ‘Borrowed Time’ by Lennon, followed by Ono’s ‘Kiss Kiss Kiss’ and Lennon’s ‘Nobody Told Me’. The two Lennon songs remained unreleased until 1984’s posthumous album Milk And Honey.
