Wings worked on two songs for the Back To The Egg album on 2 October 1978.
A demo of ‘Rockestra Theme’ had been recorded at Lympne Castle the previous month. Paul McCartney wanted a big production with a number of guest musicians, booked for the following day at Abbey Road.
A new stereo mix of Wings’ demo was mixed on this day, followed by work on ‘Reception’ and ‘The Broadcast’, two experimental pieces featuring the owners of the castle. They were also mixed on this day.
