Recording: She’s My Baby by Wings

Studio Two, Abbey Road Studios, London
Producer: Paul McCartney
Engineer: Peter Henderson

Wings continued work on the Wings At The Speed Of Sound song ‘She’s My Baby’ on 7 January 1976.

They had recorded the backing track two days earlier, but the session ended early after news broke of the death of former Beatles roadie Mal Evans.

Wings started over, rather than recording overdubs to the earlier attempts. The new takes had Paul McCartney on electric piano and guide vocals, Denny Laine on bass guitar, and Joe English on drums.

Thirty-five takes were recorded, although only 17 were complete. The last was considered the best, and onto it McCartney overdubbed his lead vocals. However, they were replaced the following day.
