Ringo Starr’s fourth solo album, Goodnight Vienna, was released in the United Kingdom on 15 November 1974, three days before its US release.
The album was recorded in Los Angeles in August 1974, and featured guest performers including John Lennon and Elton John.
Goodnight Vienna peaked at number 30 on the UK albums chart, becoming Starr’s final charting album there until 1998’s Vertical Man.
In the US it reached number 8 on the Billboard 200. It was also a top 10 hit in Austria, Denmark, and France.
