Mixing: Wings Over Europe Tour

Control Room Four, EMI Studios, London
Producer: Paul McCartney
Engineer: Alan Parsons

The second of three consecutive days spent mixing Wings live recordings took place on 17 April 1973.

The recordings were made from 19-24 August 1972 during the Wings Over Europe Tour. Paul McCartney had planned to release some of them on Red Rose Speedway, but had decided instead to release the footage as a film, titled The Bruce McMouse Show. The live performances would be interspersed with animated footage of a family of mice living underneath the stage.

On this day stereo mixes were made of ‘Wild Life’ and ‘Mary Had A Little Lamb’ from The Hague on 21 August, and performances of ‘Blue Moon Of Kentucky’ from Groningen on 19 August and Amsterdam on 20 August.
