Producer: Paul McCartney
Engineer: Dixon Van Winkle
Paul McCartney worked on mixes for his song ‘Another Day’ on 12 February 1971.
This was the second mixing session for the song, following attempts made on 8 February. After hearing the results on New York radio stations, McCartney realised there was too much bass, leading to distortion.
‘Another Day’ was remixed on this day, with a tape reel filled with mono mixes. McCartney then selected the best of the song and its b-side, ‘Oh Woman, Oh Why’, to be sent to EMI in London for pressing as his debut solo single.
