Recording: Little Lamb Dragonfly by Wings

Studio B, CBS Studio Building, New York City
Producer: Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney continued work on the Wings song ‘Little Lamb Dragonfly’ on 20 November 1970.

He had begun recording the song the previous day, the Ram session to feature guitarist Hugh McCracken and drummer Denny Seiwell. On this day McCartney added a piano part to the song.

The orchestral overdubs were recorded in February 1971 at A&R Studios, again in NYC. The orchestra was arranged and conducted by George Martin, who was afforded a producer’s credit in the 2018 reissue of Red Rose Speedway.

‘Little Lamb Dragonfly’ was completed at London’s Trident Studios in November 1972. The final overdubs were the vocals, by the McCartneys, Denny Laine, and Denny Seiwell.
