‘Old Time Relovin” is the ninth song on Ringo Starr’s seventh solo album, 1978’s Ringo The 4th.
The song was composed by Starr and producer Vini Poncia, who also wrote ‘Who Needs A Heart’ on the album. The pair had worked together on Starr’s previous four albums. Poncia also contributing backing vocals to the recording.
Starr’s version of ‘Lipstick Traces (On a Cigarette)’ was released as the lead US single from Bad Boy on 18 April 1978, with ‘Old Time Relovin” on the b-side. It failed to chart. The single version of ‘Old Time Relovin” fades out slightly earlier than the album mix.
