‘Who Needs A Heart’ is the opening song on Ringo Starr’s seventh solo album, 1978’s Ringo The 4th.

The song was composed by Starr and producer Vini Poncia, who also wrote ‘Old Time Relovin” on the album. The pair had worked together on Starr’s previous four albums. Poncia also contributing backing vocals to the recording.

‘Heart On My Sleeve’ was the second US single taken from Bad Boy, with ‘Who Needs A Heart’ on the b-side. It was released on 6 July 1978 but did not chart.
