Ringo Starr’s seventh solo album, Bad Boy, was released in the United Kingdom on 21 April 1978, two months before its US release.
The album was mostly recorded in Canada and the Bahamas in November 1977, and was produced by Vini Poncia, with whom Starr had collaborated on Ringo The 4th.
The commercial failure of Bad Boy led to Starr being dropped by Polydor in the UK.
The only UK single was ‘Tonight’, with ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ on the b-side. It was issued on 21 July 1978 but failed to reach the singles chart.
