It's the same style of finger-picking that he learnt from Donovan in India and very distinctive which makes it instantly recognizable. He uses it in the first part of Happiness Is A Warm Gun , and of course Dear Prudence and there may be others.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

This is one of my favorite songs. The modulation of the melody feels as though he reinstates his idea each refrain. So Lennon, so good.

Yeah - that guitar picking style he uses on this song and so many others is very enjoyable. Some of my favorite songs are those that feature a Beatle alone with an acoustic guitar.

It's a good song but it's certainly not one of the best on Plastic Ono Band.
There's nothing strictly wrong about it as a song, it just doesn't really stand out.
I'd say it's my second least favourite track on the album, just ahead of 'Well Well Well'. The screaming on that is a bit too much for me.
I'm not counting 'My Mummy's Dead '
