John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Sean Lennon returned to New York from Tokyo on 28 August 1979.
They had spent precisely one month in Japan, having arrived on 28 July.
Accompanying them on the return journey was Uneko Uda, their personal maid at the Hotel Okura, whom had been persuaded to come to New York to fill a similar role at the Dakota Building.
