Wings’ finished recorded ‘So Glad To See You Here’ for their seventh studio album, Back To The Egg, on 11 December 1978.
This was the first recording session to take place at Replica Studios in the basement of MPL at 1 Soho Square, London. Paul McCartney had wanted a copy of the control room of Abbey Road’s Studio Two to finish recording and mix the album, with the construction work taking several weeks to be completed.
Wings recorded the coda for ‘So Glad To See You Here’. It was written by McCartney to hark back to ‘We’re Open Tonight’, which was being considered as an album title and concept.
