Recording, mixing: Morse Moose And The Grey Goose, I’m Carrying, Girlfriend, Backwards Traveller, Cuff Link by Wings

AIR Studios, London
Producer: Paul McCartney
Engineer: Geoff Emerick

The final recording session for Wings’ sixth studio album London Town took place on 6 January 1978.

This was an overdub session for three songs. ‘Morse Moose And The Grey Goose’ had been given an orchestral score by Wil Malone, a string arrangement had been scored by Bobby Richards for ‘I’m Carrying’, and ‘Girlfriend’ had been arranged for woodwind by Mike Vickers.

Paul McCartney also added lead guitar to ‘Girlfriend’, including the song’s solo, after which he oversaw the final stereo mixes of ‘I’m Carrying’, ‘Backwards Traveller’, and ‘Cuff Link’.
