Recording: Best Friend by Wings

Studio Two, EMI Studios, London
Producer: Paul McCartney
Engineer: Alan Parsons

Paul McCartney worked on a live recording of ‘Best Friend’ on 19 January 1973.

The song had been recorded at the Kinema Roma in Antwerp on 22 August, and at this time ‘Best Friend’ had the working title ‘Why Do You Treat Me So Bad?’.

McCartney was considering including it on Red Rose Speedway, and added an acoustic guitar part on this day. Denny Seiwell also added more drums.
