Paul and Linda McCartney took part in the second day of a two-day shoot to create promotional films for the Ram album on 6 June 1971.
They hired director Roy Benson and cameraman Norman Langley and asked them to come to High Park Farm to film scenes that could be used to promote the album on television.
The footage included scenes of the McCartneys riding horses, which became the promo film for ‘3 Legs’. Another, for ‘Heart Of The Country’, contained more horse riding, and also shots of the couple playing with sheepdog Martha on the beach at Machrihanish.
A third 11-minute clip captured the couple and their children outside the farmhouse. Paul sang four songs, with Linda harmonising: ‘Good Rockin’ Tonight’, ‘Bip Bop’, ‘Hey Diddle’, ‘I Am Your Singer’, and ‘She Got It Good’.
