Friday 26 June 1970 was the 17th recording session for George Harrison’s third solo album All Things Must Pass.
This was the first album session to take place in EMI’s Studio Two, where The Beatles had recorded the majority of their songs. Just one song was worked on: ‘Awaiting On You All’, which had first been attempted on 22 June.
Ringo Starr was unavailable due to starting the sessions for his second solo album Beaucoups Of Blues in Nashville. His drum stool in London was filled by Jim Gordon of Derek and the Dominos.
The session began at 2.30pm. Twenty-five takes of ‘Awaiting On You All’ were recorded, the last of which was released on All Things Must Pass.
