John Lennon and Yoko Ono sign Bag Productions contract with Allen Klein

Allen Klein signed a management contract with John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Bag Productions Ltd on 20 September 1969.

It took place after Lennon told the other members of The Beatles that he was leaving the band.

On this evening, Lennon, Ono and Klein went for dinner at The Peppermill restaurant at 17 Cork Street, London, two streets away from the Apple Corps headquarters. A contract was written on the back of a menu, in which Lennon and Ono agreed to pay Klein’s ABKCO 20% of the gross income earned by their production company.
