The Beatles performed two sets at the Olympia Theatre on this day, continuing their residency which began on 16 January 1964 and ended on 4 February.
During the residency The Beatles’ setlist contained eight songs: ‘From Me To You’, ‘Roll Over Beethoven’, ‘She Loves You’, ‘This Boy’, ‘Boys’, ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’, ‘Twist And Shout’ and ‘Long Tall Sally’.
This was the fifth date of the residency. The following day The Beatles had a day off, one of just two during their stay in Paris.
Also on this day, a brief interview with the group was broadcast by the Parisian radio station Europe-1, which the previous day had transmitted their matinée show at the Olympia. The interview was during the Robert Marcy show from 12-12.30pm.
