The Beatles recorded two versions of Fats Domino’s 1959 song ‘I’m Ready’ during the Get Back/Let It Be sessions in January 1969. The song was written by Domino, Al Lewis, and Sylvester Bradford.

They first played the song on 21 January. They returned to it the following day, playing it alongside a version of The Drifters’ ‘Save The Last Dance For Me’.

A medley of the two songs was selected by Glyn Johns for the second, third, and fourth iterations of the Get Back album, all of which were rejected by The Beatles. ‘I’m Ready’ was mis-titled as ‘Rocker’ on the tracklisting.

‘I’m Ready’ was eventually released in October 2021 as part of the super deluxe 50th anniversary reissue of Let It Be.
