I got a poster from my dad back in 98 i think. He bought it for $10 from this old hippie that lived up the street. I am a fan of the Beatles (who isn't) so i was really excited about it. Here is the issue, I know nothing about this poster. I have looked for another one like it and never seen one. I don't know the posters name or what it was promoting (if anything) because there are no numbers, or words anywhere on it, front or back!
About 2 years ago, I came across a store in a mall in Kansas City that sold all sorts of memorabilia. Low and behold, there was my poster.... the exact same one! I asked for the owner, i needed to know anything about it. She called me a few days later and said that it wasn't for sale, but she would tell me about it. She said that she bought it at an auction for $3,800 and that it was pretty rare. She said that it was to promote Abbey Road, but it doesn't look like any other Abbey Road pics that I've ever seen. That makes me question this woman's knowledge.
I wonder, does anyone here know anything about it?!?! Oh, and did I mention that it is big? nearly 3' by 5'!!
Welcome to the forum Clark!
I haven't seen that poster, and I'm afraid I can't help you about getting info. Maybe Joe (our admin) knows or someone else...
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.
Beware of Darkness…
It looks like something you would get from a magazine. That doesn't help much, does it.
Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!
The pictures look like they're from '66, but I can't help apart from that.
If the poster you saw was worth 38 hundred, perhaps you should sell your poster too.
