Paul McCartney performed at the Live 8 concert at London’s Hyde Park on 2 July 2005.
It was one of 10 simultaneous events to mark two decades since the Live Aid concerts and to encourage the G8 nations to increase efforts to fight global poverty.
McCartney opened the concert by performing ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ with U2. He also ended the show with a five-song set, which included ‘Drive My Car’ with guest vocals by George Michael.
