If only there was an icon of a jumping estatic beatle. Could not agree with you any more; it would be highly impossible to do so.

One of the highlights of Rubber Soul is What Goes On for oh so many reasons.

Exactly! And not becuase its like "Yay, a Ringo song! Ha ha, this is fun!" like it is on some other albums- because its genuinely a great performance of a great song.

Wow, are you saying that there exists ACTUAL FILM FOOTAGE of the recording session??! Have you ever heard of this, Joe? Or am I misinterpreting?

If true, that would be AWESOME!

I love his voice in Boys and With A Little Help best I think.

I don't really like it in YS and GN, though I love the songs.

I really like Ringo's voice, he certainly wasn't/isn't a bad singer, he just needs a song that fits him.

I enjoy his vocals on Boys, Don't Pass Me By, and Octopus's Garden, but the best is Honey Don't. I love it when he says, "Oh, rock on George, one time for me!"a-hard-days-night-ringo-12

My favorite Ringo vocal is 'BOYS' . I love that way he sings this song with authority and then gives my favorite Beatle the lead in with 'All Right George'.

Love that too.

My favorite is probably the BBC Live version of I Wanna Be Your Man. Especially when he says "looooove me baby" at :42.

I'm going old school with "Boys" and "I Wanna Be Your Man" being my favourites.  a-hard-days-night-ringo-15

I suppose 'I Wanna Be Your Man' would be my favourite too but, honestly, I'm not that keen on Ringo's voice so I don't tend to like his songs that much. I feel bad saying that, like I'm not a ''real'' fan or something like that but it's true, I'm afraid.

'With a little help' always makes me smile though.

Well, for me, hands down the best is With a Little Help From My Friends, with Octopus's Garden a close second and I Wanna Be Your Man a close third.

Hmm that's hard. Octopus's Garden first popped into my head purely because of the line "I'd ask my friends to come and see.." Going slightly off topic I love the LOVE remixish thingy of Octopus's Garden. Back on track my second would probably be With A Little Help From My Friends. I've nearly really liked Matchbox which is a fan favourite but then again I do like Wild Honey Pie a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Ringo sings on Wild Honey Pie? I thought Paul recorded that by himself. a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Wild Honey Pie is most definitely a solo Paul recording, AppleScruffJunior. Since you mention Matchbox directly before it, were you maybe thinking of Honey Don't there?

The best song he wrote? Octopus's Garden.

The best song he sung overall? …probably still Octopus's Garden. a-hard-days-night-ringo-12

With A Little Help From My Friends: for once, a song sung by him that isn't just "Ringo's number" on the record, but a memorable one.

I also like I Wanna Be Your Man. And even Good Night (I know, I'm strange) :D

I phrased that oddly what I meant was how a lot of people seem to like Ringo singing Matchbox whilst I dislike it. Although a lot of people hate Wild Honey Pie, I like Wild Honey Pie. If that makes any sense, I generally like the opposite of what other people like e.g I love the Magical Mystery Tour movie and could watch it over and over again…
