Plans hit a bit of a snag, as my collaborator got booked on a job next week. I did too, but we were originally able to work on it. So she dropped out. I have to figure out if this is still doable before the deadline. Luckily, I still have an actress.

Offline Anyone seen the first video? I think it’s great, technicaly and the story.
I’m a little late. I hope that I’ll do something this weekend. I get a job and my actress get a job… I mean it’s nice have a job but I want to make George movie.

Was your friend going to be in the video too, or just help with the filming, production etc.?
I wish you luck getting it done!
And to SLH I’ll go check out the video. Is that the only one up? Maybe, doubtful, but maybe only five people will enter guaranteeing the second prize and Olivia and Dhani watching.
I still have my idea but no way of getting it done. I’m trying to figure something out.

That guy is class- I subscribe to him on YouTube and never thought he was making a video. His ‘Dear Prudence ‘ video is amazing (although I generally play the original song over it 
). He’s worked with Steve Riks as well, in some quite funny videos.

Well at least you didn’t loose a key person to the video itself, but directing’ll be a bit harder alone. You were the sole director of the Appreciate video though, right? ‘Cause you could definitely get this done if you find time.
This idea involves more handheld motion, and I’d have to rent the equipment to steady the cam. Plus, one of the actors is from out of town, and his schedule isn’t quite meshing with the other’s. After sleeping over it, with so many obstacles, I decided to shelve the idea of doing a video. I don’t have time to perfect the motion, rehearse the actors, shoot and edit by Oct. 21 (and, really, Oct. 20 for my timezone) and I don’t want to publish a video I’m not happy with.
I’m going to contact the actors, though, and talk to them about doing the video in the near future – just not rushing it.

Offline Ok, @Starr Shine? said she liked the sketch of my idea, and I like the goofy way she thinks, and there’s no chance I’ll be able to make it. The guitar playing at different parts of George’s career is close to it, and might it be able to be modified (I can’t find the link to the actual video). I feel the Harrisons would like the idea, but someone else may have a similar idea and then there’s the issue of quality. But just in case someone wants to run with it or modify, here is the crux of the idea:
Break the sum total of his career into 3 or 4 separate scenes (or as many as are relevant). One would be with the early Beatles, one the band’s time with Maharishi, one George solo, one would be about George, Patty and Eric, and how George dealt with it (presumably through his outlook on life)…I’m sure there’s another scene in there next, and the final scene would show George as he was in the 90s, with no apparent fear of life or death. The idea would be to show the evolution of his spiritual self. The idea came from the “What Is Life ” chorus but it doesn’t really go with the romantic them of the verses. That’s one reason the humor (or humour to some of you) has to be brought in. It’s too serious, and would have to be made a bit goofy. Something like the Crackerbox Palace video, to show the dry sense of humor that was so innate in George. Animation, Python-like scenes, distorted reality, something like that that requires resources/experience I don’t have and way too long of a learning curve…
I hope it doesn’t seem too cocky to think this might be worth implementing…if it is feel free to lambast me

Offline My report. Today we were filming for 8 hours and it’s almost done. Just a few scenes and it’s finished. I need a snail in one scene, but when you need a snail there isn’t even one in the whole garden… So I hope that I will find a snail till 21st october 
But other things are looking great. I can’t wait till it’s done

Offline Here’s another video that’s gone up. It reminds me of the “Pines of Rome” sequence in Fantasia 2000.
Seems animation is the order of the day so far. I could animate a G and an H doing the Electric Slide, but I don’t think that’s gonna cut it.

Offline Great video and welcome to the forum Henry! Love the colors in the animation.
So I think I can salvage the idea I had with my friend. I’ll try and shoot it alone and see how it turns out, and since the deadline is midnight 10/21 and I’m flying into FL early that morning I might be able to see him and/or get some other scenic shots in that day.
