Give More Love is Ringo Starr’s 19th solo studio album.
It was produced by Starr, and recorded at his own Roccabella West studio in Los Angeles. It featured guest musicians including Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Dave Stewart, Peter Frampton, and Jeff Lynne.
Starr had initially planned to record a country album in Nashville, just as he had done with 1970’s Beaucoups Of Blues
Give More Love contains ten new songs and four bonus tracks – re-recordings of The Beatles’ ‘Don’t Pass Me By’ and Starr’s solo songs ‘Back Off Boogaloo’, ‘You Can’t Fight Lightning’, and ‘Photograph’.
The release
Give More Love was announced on 7 July 2017, Starr’s 77th birthday. The title track was made available that day as a digital download and on streaming services.
