Silly Girl, how do you work the phrase “but it’s my pride” into the meaning of the song going along with the idea that the woman is dead?

Yes It Is takes me back to the days of collecting singles. Until SFF/Penny Lane you would never hear a B side played on the radio. It would always be a surprise when you flipped the A side over and in this case a good one. I love the fact that I Need You was also recorded at this session. Being the Beatles, there was always a bit of mystery to accompany any release. In this case it was the 8 Arms To Hold You reference.
