It appears that Ringo has a tattoo on the inside of each arm:
I never noticed before! Am I the only one?

Offline Besides Ringo’s “moon and star,” his other tattoo is a cross surrounded by a lotus flower. I just looked this up: Lotus flowers as tattoos very often symbolize people who have endured hardships in their lives and come through them successfully. That sounds like Ringo wanted to make a statement about his recovery from alcohol addiction.
