There's now an option to add polls to new threads (and hopefully old ones too, though I can't yet get it to work). Hopefully this will make the "what's your favourite song from Please Please Me/With The Beatles/etc" threads a little better.
To make a new one, if you click the Add Topic button, underneath the big next field you should see an option saying "Add A Poll". They're pretty easy to set up. I'll see if I can fix the no-show on existing topics.
Is this a good thing?

Is there a limit to how many times you can vote otherwise results might get 'skewed'? Not that its a big deal. A cool option to have to an already fab forum. Thank you.

"Don't make your love suffer insecurities; Trade the baggage of 'self' to set another one free" ('Paper Skin' - Kendall Payne)
As far as I can tell it sets a cookie and also restricts by IP, so you only get one chance to vote (unless you clear your cookie and/or use a different machine I guess).

If you want to take the trouble to add this feature, Joe, I can't see how it could be a bad thing. (I promise not to use my other account to vote twice and skew the results of any future poll!)
I remember George saying 'Blimey, he's always talking about “Yesterday”, you'd think he was Beethoven or somebody' - Paul McCartney
Aha! There was an update to the polls plugin, and now they can be added to any post, not just the first in the thread. Look for the Add A Poll button below the text window (and let me know if you don't see the button - I presume all users can).
