Without a doubt, XTC. The similarities between Andy Partridge & Lennon, and Colin Moulding and McCartney, are uncanny. And the similarities between Swindon and Liverpool. I always felt that XTC matured into the band that would most closely have resembled the Beatles had they continued. Superb musicianship on both sides as well.
Just for a larf, listen to these albums side-by-side:
With the Beatles — White Music
Rubber Soul — Drums & Wires
Revolver — Black Sea
The Beatles — English Settlement
Sgt. Pepper — Mummer; Skylarking; Apple Venus Vol. 1
Abbey Road — Nonsuch

I feel like the answer is almost rhetorical because who hasn’t been influenced by the Beatles? Perhaps not every band is so obvious about it, but it's easy to listen to a certain song from any genre, and hear a bit of melody or harmony, and think, where did that come from?

You’re right, it’d be quicker to find bands that DON’T sound a bit like The Beatles.
“And if anyone hasn’t been influenced by them [The Beatles] at some point, they’re probably lying.” – Dhani Harrison.

A ringing endorsement of Liverpool, if ever there was one.
I told her I didn’t
