Ringo Starr And Friends is the eighth live album released by Ringo Starr.
It was recorded by the former Beatles drummer and the All-Starr Band at the Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, Illinois, on 22 August 2001. It was the 20th show by the seventh All-Starr Band, whose tour of North America lasted for 28 dates between July and September 2001.
Every track on Ringo Starr And Friends was previously released on the 2002 album King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents Ringo & His New All-Starr Band, but omitted that album’s ‘No No Song’ and ‘Back Off Boogaloo’. Five songs on Ringo Starr And Friends – ‘Yellow Submarine’, ‘Act Naturally’, ‘Photograph’, ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’, and ‘Glamorous Life’ – were also on the 2003 album Extended Versions.
Ringo Starr And Friends received a limited release, only in Europe, from the Disky label.
