‘Horse To The Water’ was George Harrison’s final recorded song.

Written by Harrison and his son Dhani, it was recorded in 2001 in London and Switzerland.

Harrison contributed just vocals. His part was recorded on 2 October 2001 in Switzerland while he was undergoing cancer treatment. Harrison died on 29 November 2001.

The song was completed in London by Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. It was released on their album Small World Big Band.

Initial copies of the album listed the song’s publisher as R.I.P Music Ltd, instead of Harrison’s usual company Umlaut Corporation.

Holland performed the song at 2002’s Concert for George, with Sam Brown on lead vocals. It was included in the film of the event but not on the official CD release.
