This one makes me feel like I’m a fly on the wall of Studio 2, listening to the brainwanderings of four perhaps slightly bored musicians with wicked senses of humour. (They sound stoned…)
Edit: I think I shall post this to Think For Yourself thread.
Why the heck are George and Ringo on the floor? T’isn’t fair! The injustice…

Re: the Think For Yourself video
The video made me think of a conversation (or two) on the forum about how The Beatles were rich enough and influential enough to command long studio times. How many groups would spend that much time in the studio making up songs and goofing around? Wouldn’t most come to the studio having practiced/rehearsed elsewhere and be ready to record?

The tape was left running and the three Beatles were given free license to ham it up as they (Martin, Beatles etc) were hoping that something would be usable for the ’65 christmas record. Nothing was. It was only when the ‘Yellow Submarine ‘ movie came about that a few seconds of the session were utilised.

My favorite series of Beatles interviews:

Please note the title says they are rare interviews, but they aren’t really that ‘rare’.

Possibly my favourite interview with anyone, ever. Well, the bit with Ravi Shankar at the end is a little awkward. But I think it was when first watching this interview that I first began to realise how much I love George.

I love how George endeavours to conceal his nervousness under a goodly layer of tongue-in-cheek humour.

The incomparable larynx of George Arryson! (No pirate sketch.)
This makes me want to cry but ’tis all good and quite informative, too. Love Jeff Lynne’s quote about George’s slide guitar playing.

YAYYYY I found this again!
I watched it obsessively a couple of years ago when I first got re-obsessed with the Fabs and started exploring stuff on YouTube. Haven’t heard it since then so it really brings back memories.
Paul was so bossy, even in the early days…

Paul Unplugged. I love the added augmented chord in the chorus. Very beautiful contrasting the melody.

‘Every Night ‘ is one of my most favourite McCartney songs, and that is a beautiful rendition (a Beautiful ‘Night’? ). Thanks for sharing, Sir!
Note to self: If one must wipe one’s nose, don’t do it at the most poignant part of the song. That’s the only opportunity, you say? Ah sod it.
