Actually, I think of a Beatles song for most scales… which gets very annoying at band with lots of different keys!
Sorry, I’m just going to elaborate on DO’s point there for a second (let’s derail another thread, Holey!).
This is one of the few Beatles songs in C, I believe. That makes me think Paul wrote it on a piano, not a guitar. Does anyone know any details about the writing process of Hello, Goodbye ?

Offline I’d guess that it was written on piano as The Beatles wrote lots of their songs on piano, even Yesterday and the backing track consisted of piano, organ, drums, and percussion. Also, there’s other Beatles songs in C, The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill and Can’t Buy Me Love come to mind.

It lists the key of The Word to be ‘ Dm7 (w/M3)’ which isn’t a key, Dm is. That’s not the only error!
This site is good for anyone who is bored and has 7 hours to go through all the songs (it’s addicting…)
