Yeah, I used to download music illegally, but I don’t do it anymore because I don’t find that it is morally acceptable in my life at this moment. I am a fan of the library because the one by my house has a large selection of CDs you can borrow (the problem is returning them, though, as I oftentimes end up having to pay late fees ): ).

George Harrison ‘s albums are about 15.00 on Amazon. Is that too steep for you?

But this is George Harrison , we’re talking about.  His music is worth wayyy more than Yoko’s (At least in my book).

Here | There | Everywhere

It's ya boi!  The one and only Billy Shears (AKA Paul's Replacement)

The CDs come out to a little over 16.50 a piece and you get a T-shirt with each order. It’s not robbery.

Can you send the t-shirt back and get refunded $6.50?

I know this is a done thing but i don’t want a t-shirt with my CD; if i want a t-shirt i’ll go and buy one.

@William Shears Campbell, if you value pleasant melodies over cutting edge music that takes risks, I can see how it would be worth more to you.

I don’t know if it says anything on the back, but the front is just white and says Y O K O  O N O.  It really does look nice, though. My description makes it seem crappy.

Are we really going to have this stupid discussion again? This is one of the reasons I don’t post here as often anymore.

What she is doing is called “hetai.” It’s a Japanese vocal technique from kabuki theater, and yes I do appreciate it, but I can’t explain why. I probably like it for the same reasons you hate it.

That’s why I wondered if there were reviews of her music from Japanese sources. They may look at her work much more differently than Westerners would.

You don’t come on here much, because some people thinks her music sucks???  Really?  Do you honestly believe she would be famous if she hadn’t met John?

Her “music” is too darn pretentious for me.

I just got the bundle of her first three albums on clear/white vinyl (with a bonus white “Yoko Ono” T-shirt, yay). The one I’m most interested in listening to is YO/POB, which I think is a genuinely interesting record – John and Klaus and Ringo rocking out at Abbey Road . I’m less enamoured with the Unfinished Music albums but wanted to have them for the collection anyway.

It feels like these reissues have been sold mainly as Yoko projects, whereas you’d think there’s be more of a market among Lennon fans/collectors.

Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs

Don't miss The Bowie Bible – now live!

I don’t care, I dig Yoko. I respect her art. I don’t know if I’d buy this set, and I already have all the J&Y stuff so probably not. But it’s cool. yoko-ono_01two-virgins

Fame is irrelevant to your opinion of her music.

I wonder if the sound is an improvement over the Rykodisc editions, or if they have compressed the hell out of it.

@Joe, let me know your impressions if you get a chance.
