Well Amazon works if you have money, unlike myself. Otherwise I would look more into his solo career, but I've really only heard two cd's and there both compilations. So it's mostly the same similar stuff.

Yikes, I didn't mean to start a whole fight over my opinion. I”m sorry guys for that, I didn't know my comments would get things so out of hand. Paul's also last on mine cause I've heard very little of his solo work compared to the others. I haven't really ever bothered to look really deep into his stuff. (mainly because I can't find it anywhere here in Northern Indiana) But I wasn't saying he was superficial at all, that was not my meaning behind what I said. I just don't connect with Paul's music the way I do with George's and John's. I do enjoy songs at times that are funny and have no point, but I'm sorry if I'm not one for subtle meanings. I'm all more for the in your face way of getting meanings across.
Once again I'm so super sorry to everyone for my comments starting a huge fight on this thread. I really didn't mean to do that and I feel totally horrible that it happened that way. So I just say we get over it and all be friend again. Agreed?
Oh…you totally didn't do anything wrong. I just sometimes need a soapbox to rant my feelings on Paul and thought I could here. I respect your love of John and George. I myself am quite a John fan, too. Sometimes I just feel like Paul gets dismissed too easily…sorry if I came across to you as not respecting your opinions.

I still find it pretty funny that McCartney fans feel such a need to defend Paul, as if him being the most successful musician of all time weren’t enough. I guess that just means that we all know that John was cooler.
But to say that Paul wrote a bunch of meaningful, emotional songs is a bit silly, but it’s not like that’s a bad thing, he just never really expressed his inner emotions like that. So, like Zig said, we’re all free to enjoy whatever style of music we please, and the thing I love about John is that he turned that mirror on himself and showed us that it’s okay to have self doubt and conflicting emotions about ourselves. That doesn’t make him weak, it makes him human and it’s that emotional part of him that makes his stuff so relatable, at least to me.
I love Paul’s Beatles stuff, but in all honesty I’ve never really been that interested in his solo career, and that’s nothing against Paul, it’s just not really my style of music.

I think Ringo's solo career is very underrated. I haven't heard all of it, but so far I like all of his songs.
Exactally.
Every time I see your face it reminds me of the places we used to go. But all I've got is a photograph and I realize your not coming back anymore
Ho can that not strike a chord? I've have many times found myself in this situation.

I agree Paulsbass. I guess Nigel feels he gets an unfair break because he gotten support in this thread, justifiably. I much prefer when people sing there own songs (with exceptions. Woodstock, anyone?). I mean, just because we don’t think Ringo had the best solo career doesnt matter. 3 of the best singer songwriters of all time were in the group, so he would never have the greatest solo career.

Off the site there is a bunch of hate (ALOT) for RINGO, and it just makes me sad. On this site, I haven't seen one bad comment about RINGO, only love. What I just can't understand is why people hate on him so much. Even on tv and in movies they do it! I think he is just plain awesome.
I have heard people say,”I love the Beatles! Oh, but I hate Ringo.” Which makes me WTF because Ringo was a Beatle, so if you say you love the Beatles, but you hate one of their members, who contributed to the group, isn't that a little wrong?
