Beatles Examiner reports the very sad news that Tony Sheridan is seriously ill in hospital.
For those who dont know Tony was a good friend of the Beatles and played with them in Germany in the early 60's before they made it. The Beatles, with Pete Best on drums, recorded 6 tracks with Tony (and 2 on their own) between 1961 and 1962 and one of them, My Bonnie with Tony singing lead vocal, was the song that brought Brian Epstein into the story after customers of his shop requested it. The songs are actually very good as far as early rock and roll goes and well worth listening to if you havent heard them.
Here's hoping he makes a speedy recovery.
My thoughts are with him.
"I told you everything I could about me, Told you everything I could" ('Before Believing' - Emmylou Harris)
"Don't make your love suffer insecurities; Trade the baggage of "self" to set another one free" ('Paper Skin' - Kendall Payne)
Poor Tony! You are such an important part of Beatles history and so much more! Get well soon!
"The world is a very serious and, at times, very sad place - but at other times it is all such a joke."-George Harrison
Get well soon Tony What a horrible time to be ill in hospital??
Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.
