OK now you’ve got me worried. 🙁 I’m gonna beg my dad to take me with him when he goes to the USA this weekend to gas up the car (gas is cheaper in America, especially since the Canadian dollar is worth slightly more than the American) and I’ll see this cover for myself. (And buy the album with my eyes closed if I have to!)

Haven’t any of you heard? They’ve withdrawn the album. They’re scrapping the cover. They’re going to be putting it out again, but with in a new cover, in a few days.

Offline I’ll take safe and boring over the atrocity that is on there now. 
If I had known they were going to put the record out with a new cover, I wouldn’t have spent my money on the copy I have. I would have waited. 
I wonder if Sears will let me exchange my copy for one of the new ones. I still have the receipt.

Offline Can’t be any worse than the advert for the ‘Paperback Writer ‘ single that’s doing the rounds here in the UK. No idea why that was thought to be a good idea, I mean what on earth have dolls with no heads got to do with either song for starters? There is a line in ‘Rain ‘ about hiding heads but that’s different. John did sing about keeping your head in ‘Run For Your Life ‘ as well. Maybe it was his idea.

Can’t believe there is a new album in the US. Anyone able to let us know the track listing tho I presume its all been released here in the UK already. Still peeved at having to wait 10 extra long days for the latest single.

Why is the US getting material before us in the UK again?
Are these unique tracks for the US or will they be on the upcoming album they are currently recording?

I’ve just remembered I still haven’t heard ‘Bad Boy ‘. Where did that go for us in the UK? Will that be on the new album. Seems unlikely since it was recorded ages ago. So when will we hear it or has it been forgotten about? Maybe there is a new EP coming soon with these 4 numbers.

Offline ‘I’m Only Sleeping ‘, ‘Doctor Robert ‘ and ‘And Your Bird Can Sing ‘ are tracks not yet released here. 
‘Yesterday ‘ (Paul lead vocal) and ‘Act Naturally ‘ (Ringo) are on our ‘Help !’.
‘Drive My Car ‘ (John and Paul), ‘Nowhere Man ‘ (John, Paul, George) ‘If I Needed Someone ‘ (George) and ‘What Goes On ‘ (Ringo) are on our ‘Rubber Soul ‘.
‘We Can Work It Out ‘ and ‘Day Tripper ‘ was a single only, which we often get.
All worth giving a spin as a) its Beatles and b) they sound better than ever. There is a different feel to the tracks, especially the ‘Rubber Soul ‘ ones. I don’t remember another band sounding like this. Ringo goes country twice!!

Offline OK, this girl Becky from my typing class (she’s kind of my friend) already got the album and brought it to school for me to see!…AND….

…I don’t think it’s that horrible, really. I mean, sure, raw meat is kinda sticky and unpleasant to touch. But really, I’ve seen plastic dolls with missing arms and legs and even HEADS before, and my sister and I have even owned a few! And I can remember being 7 years old and playing a game where we’d pick a dandelion and sing “Mama had a baby and it’s head popped off” and then we’d flip off the flowery part with our thumbnails, and we never thought anything about it. (Did any of you ever do that?) And I’ve heard my brother and his friends tell “dead baby jokes” before too! Maybe we had a “sick” sense of humour. As it is, though, all it really looks like to me is plastic doll parts and meat, and our boys wearing barbershop smocks – maybe as a comment on their hair, which is even longer!
I dunno, seems to me it’s kinda much ado about not much. The REAL issue is: Are they really going to stop selling them and put the album out in a new cover? How long do we have to wait? Will I be able to get one IN TIME?? I don’t wanna have to wait, I need to feed my Beatles habit! I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out…

Oh, I’ve seen that. It startled me a bit when I first saw it, but after I realised what was actually going on, I didn’t think it was that bad– just weird. Couldn’t let me parents see it though — they thought Rain was bad enough! 
Now I think of it, our boys can be a bit weird… some of those jokes in the films are slightly off the wall.

Why not just hide it away and save your money for the new one? Even if you hate the cover it might be a collectors item someday!
