My NYC cousin Michelle was interviewed by Murray The K last night on WINS, 1010 as she was still milling about the Plaza Hotel hoping to get a glimpse of The Beatles! Luckily, her friend Loretta had a reel-to-reel recorder to tape the interview as it was being conducted. Cool thing I was able to transcribe the interview after she played it over the phone for us. And here it is!:Murray The K: Murray The K live at the entrance of The Plaza Hotel and there are still a lot of fans milling about. So let’s see who we have here. And what is your name?
Michelle : Michelle
Murray: Ah, Michelle , ma belle. A lovely name.
Michelle : Did you just call me a bell?
Murray: No, it’s ma belle. Just a rhyme I made up.
Michelle : Oh, ok Murray.
Murray: So how long have you been here at The Plaza.
Michelle : Oh um..Yesterday and today, The Night Before , Friday too.
Murray: Gee, that’s a Long, Long, Long time to Wait .
Michelle : It has. I’m So Tired, but I Feel Fine . Seems I’ve been here like Eight Days A Week .
Murray: Nights too?
Michelle : Yea. I’m losing track of the time. Oh, at least Here Comes The Sun !
Murray: Sorry, but that’s not the sun, but Mr. Moonlight.
Michelle : Told you I am out of it–it’s been a Hard Day’s Night so to speak.
Murray: Interesting. Anyway, Tell Me Why do you like The Beatles?
Michelle : I don’t know, it’s the music, the look that makes us Come Together and go crazy for them. Every Little Thing they do takes me and others on some Magical Mystery Tour !
(Another fan shouting): Hey Murray!
Murray: Hi, What Goes On ?
(Other fan): You broadcasting live?
Murray: Yes, you’re live on WINS, 1010! What’s your name?
(Other fan): Jude.
Murray: Hey Jude ! So what do you want to say?
Jude: Wouldn’t it be fab if The Things We Said Today might become a future Beatle song title?
Murray: Like what?
Jude: Um, I don’t know—Something !
Murray: Ok, you work hard on that but in the meantime it’s back to Michelle . Since you’ve been here all weekend, shouldn’t you Get Back to where you once belong? Your Mother Should Know you’re ok, right?
Michelle : I should and I know I’ll be in trouble When I Get Home , but I would follow The Beatles Here, There And Everywhere just to be near them. Any Time At All !
Murray: Follow them everywhere?
Michelle : Yes! I’d go Across The Universe or Follow The Sun for them! They’re the best thing to happen In My Life !
Murray: That’s devotion!
Michelle : Yes It Is !
Murray: So what’s next for you? By the way who are your friends with you?
Michelle : Yeah, yeah, yeah, –um, that’s Julia , the one holding the recorder is Loretta Martin, Rita is behind me–we call her Lovely Rita –and next to her is her boyfriend Bill. Bungalow Bill that is!
Murray: So they’re here for support.
Michelle : You know it–I get by With A Little Help From My Friends !
Murray: True indeed. So getting back to my question, what’s next? The Beatles are off to Washington tomorrow. Are you going to wait here?
Michelle : No, I think we’re going to Drive My Car to DC and hope to get to see the concert there!
Murray: You know it’s sold out, don’t you?
Michelle : Oh bummer! Now I’m Down. But We Can Work It Out somehow.
Murray: But what if I told you I can get you to that show without even having to drive there?
Michelle : You better not be kidding me, Murray. If I Fell for your antics…
Murray: This is no joke. Tickets to the concert and a Ticket To Ride the train The Beatles will be on tomorrow!
Michelle : (frantic screaming)
Murray: And tickets for your friends too!
Michelle : I don’t know what to say, I’ve Got A Feeling this will be in my memory forever!
Murray: Only on WINS 1010AM can we Help you out! You know, you are one lucky Girl! It could have been Another Girl , you know. Like this one. What’s your name?
Girl: Eleanor. Eleanor Rigby .
Murray: Sorry Eleanor, but Michelle was the lucky one.
Eleanor: Yea, I wish you had another one for just the Two Of Us …(sobbing)
Murray: Ok, Michelle , I’ll Get You and your friends tomorrow for the trip to DC!
Michelle : Thanks so much Murray!
Murray: No, Thank You Girl ! Now let’s send it back to Cousin Brucie with another Beatles Triple rRpple, triple play! Only here on your Beatles station WINS, 1010!

For mine, I was thinking of a very sheltered 16-year-old in Chicago (since that’s where I was born and raised anyway). Things got a bit nutty with the Utah thing, but then again, I figured she started out kooky being female talking about straightening her hair for a Beatle cut.

Offline Well, nothing I guess – that’s why I should get my head examined, dope! But my Dad’s left-handed, and he told me that when he went to school all the nuns (we’re Roman Catholic in case you don’t know) would slap him a ruler when he tried to use his “evil” hand to write with! 
So I guess Im just a bit stupor-stitious!

Well he was baptized Catholic, but not raised Catholic. Non-Catholics school use hit kids with a ruler as well for writing with the “wrong hand”.
