EEEE!!! They’re probably approaching the statue of liberty RIGHT NOW for all I know! Finally we North Americans will be graced by their presence: John, Paul, George (my favourite! 
) and Ringo!
And only TWO DAYS until we get to see them perform on Ed Sullivan. I CAN’T WAIT!!! I only wish I could watch it at my Aunt Sally’s house – she just bought a COLOUR t.v. – with a screen 24″ wide! (She’s rich and retired in Miami, Florida.)
I hope all of you will be watching the Sullivan show – it’s sure to be “fab”! (I don’t know if the people in “merry olde England” will be able to see it unfortunately, but they’ve got the Beatles there full time anyways. They’ll see em again.)
This is probably the happiest I’ve been since that ratfink (a–hole) killed America’s poor President Kennedy (RIP) a few months ago.

Offline I’m so excited!! They’re going to come to America!!! And the Ed Sullivan show… I can’t wait! My family currently doesn’t have a color television either. Oh well. Seeing their beautiful faces in monochrome is good enough.
I bet there’s going to be hundreds of screaming girls watching The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show, which might make The Beatles hard to hear. Wait … I guess I count as one of those screaming girls anyways… If I was watching The Beatles live, I know I’d be screaming.

Offline I’m totally going to be watching it! That’s all me and the gals at school are talking about. I’m just green with envy at everyone in New York who gets to see them in person. I hope the boys love America so much here they never leave!
I don’t have a favorite, but I’m contemplating straightening my hair to get a Beatle cut if my Mom will let me. Oh, boy, that’ll be at least an hour with my head on the ironing board. But sooooo worth it!!! The Beatles are BOSS!!!!

Offline Isn’t this exciting?!!! I CAN’T WAIT either! My 2 sisters and I will OF COURSE be watching Ed Sullivan along with our Parents in b/w too 🙂 I’m pretty sure we 3 girls will be screaming along with the Ed Sullivan crowd, but I hope we can still hear those fab voices coming through Did I mention that all 3 of us sisters love Paul the best? 
Phooey on them, he’s all mine! I can’t believe it’s finally happening….. It’s going to be A M A Z I N G ! Just hope Dad doesn’t mention the “long hair” thing too much!

Online Isn’t that song BOSS? I bought the single to play on the family hi-fi but my Mom keeps making me play it in my room. 
All I hear from her is “Turn that racket down!” She likes to listen to stuff like Nat King Cole or Perry Como while she does her ironing – she’s such a square!

Oh, I know! My dad’s a jazz musician, so if it’s any later than Count Basie, he doesn’t want to hear it. He just keeps rolling his eyes, talking about “parlance’s little group.” He doesn’t think they’ll last, but we know better, don’t we?!
We’re listening to all the fab news on WLS here in Chicago. I might have to beg my Dad to take me for a visit to Vee-Jay Records!
