Hello everybody!
I’ve just been to the Abbey Road Crossing in London and it was amazing…I mean the feeling of being there was just woooow!!! It’s so nice to have my picture taken in the exact same place where Fabfour were. Next stop…Liverpool
Who has visited the crossing? What do you think about it?

I’ve done it! A few times actually. The first time was a real thrill. I’ve also been inside Abbey Road ‘s Studio Two – that was an even bigger thrill!

Nope. Would like to one day but will see. It wouldnt be on one of those tours tho with someone pointing it out to me. I’d wait till it was pouring down and there was no-one there and enjoy the quiet.

hehehehe … that is really nice, thanks. Btw, how did you feel inside the studio?
It’s an amazing place. History drips from the walls. I was there for a couple of hours, for a press screening of Nowhere Boy. Pics and report: https://www.beatlesbible.com/2…..d-studios/

I did do this. (Write beatlesbible.com using my nail polish on the gates of Abbey Road studio)
$#@&^% I wish I had seen the words “hate him” when I was painting on the gate. I would have painted over them. Oh, well, hopefully no one will try to associate the two messages.
RN and I went to see 7 Cavendish first so that we could walk to the studio on the same route Paul would have walked when he went there. Thanks for thinking of that, @Ron Nasty.

I went to London for the first time this week and had a life-long dream come true: I walked the actual zebra crossing from Abbey Road !
Since it’s a bit out there it’s not like there were busloads of fands falling over themselves, but there was still a continuous line of people walking it with their friends taking pictures. The drivers seemed patient with it, so it was a really nice experience – although my girlfriend was a bit embarrassed to take my picture over and over from different angles.
Obviously it’s not that easy to get THE perfect angle, since you need to stand in the actual middle of the road, and it’s quite a busy street. So I had to live with a compromise and the feeling that I actually was there!
It was also awesome to see the entry to the Abbey Road Studios. One day I’m gonna get in there!!
I thought it could be funny to share individual zebra crossing pictures, since I’m sure a lot of you people have already been there.
So, if you like, let’s see some of you doing the zebra walk, maybe even as a foursome?

I get it. After travelling all that way and spending the time and effort to get there, you want it to be just right. That would be difficult though, considering Iain Macmillan was standing on a ladder.
It’s a cool pic – thanks for sharing your experience.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Welcome, @Illgetyou
I posted this photo last year, but you asked for examples, so… I went to Abbey Road in February 2015, hoping to get an all-ginger reenactment. Unfortunately, it was so cold only three of us showed up. It was pure magic to be there, though. I don’t know why, but even though so many years have passed, and the asphalt has been replaced since, you can still feel the connection. I sat on a wall near the crossing for a while, and only later did I find out that George sat in the exact same spot.
Anyway, this is (one of) my Abbey Road pictures. I’m the one bringing up the rear.

No, the photographer, Lloyd Durham, did that. Initially because the moving van in the background was too obtrusive, but the result was quite complimentary of our red hair as well, which was fortunate as it was used as a promotional photo for the Redhead Days’ twitter campaign.
We were very lucky to get Lloyd as out photographer. He took several shots from the monument on the corner, which was great, but he quite boldly walked into the middle of the street to take this one, resulting in an almost identical angle to the Abbey Road cover. Lower, of course, but then he didn’t have a ladder and he isn’t that tall…

Went to London about 3 years ago and of course I went to Abbey Road as well. I also had my picture taken! Unfortunately the guy who took the picture was a bit of a doofus and failed to take a proper picture even though we posed and stood still multiple times.

I have an Abbey Road poster at home in Georgia and Washington. At night when I stare at it, I often find myself thinking “how the hell are there so many blue cars?”
