Yes, that can be an expensive process. When is the big day?

I've started making a little Beatles CD collection of my own.
I think so far I've gotten Revolver
, Sgt. Peppers, Let it be, Abbey Road
, and Magical Myster Tour.
I think my dad owns Wings greatest hits compleation and Red and Blue albums
Those are all I know of. I've planning on getting Rubber Soul
on my next trip to the record store.

After getting the wooden cd box with the 80's/90's mixes I needed the red and Blue Album
with those mixes too for a complete set. Got my hands on a copy of 2 mint sets for 15 €. the red LP is still sealed even. Bargain. should arrive this week
I've updated my collection at discogs: http://www.discogs.com/collect.....lekartanmg for you to check it out! Hopefully the link works.

@KyleKartan Unfortunately, I get a 404 page.
Strange. I try to fix it. The old Red and Blue sets have arrived and I've added them to the shelfes next to the wooden box
EDIT: @Rube this should work http://www.discogs.com/user/kylekartanmg

@Rube thanks for the suggestion. Here's my collection:
The first picture contains only The Beatles as a group. The main 13 albums and Past Masters come from the CD box set. I then got Let It Be Naked and Anthology 1 at used book stores.
The second picture contains my collection of albums by George Harrison and John Lennon . I own the 30th anniversary version of All Things Must Pass . I own two versions of Living in the Material world because of a shipping mistake. I bought George Harrison , Cloud Nine , Plastic Ono Band, and Imagine online from a major retailer. For Brainwashed, I bought it from someone on Ebay. The two Traveling Wilbury albums I got from a used book store.
The third picture contains my collection of albums by Paul McCartney . I got Ram , Band On The Run , Tug Of War , Flaming Pie , and Chaos And Creation In The Backyard from major online retailers. However, the rest (Flowers In The Dirt , Off The Ground , Driving Rain , Back in the US, Wingspan, and Memory Almost Full ) from used book stores.
I have tons more to still get, especially from John and Ringo!

I just added "Concert for George" - the 2 Disc Bluray with 2 CDs where the movie and the complete concert is featured. Of course with Paul and Ringo attending and perfomring. Its mint and sealed and I got it for a bargain!

Ringos new LP Look Up was added as CD to the collection.
Also for a bargain I just added the VHS Boxset of Anthology. Its 8 Tapes inside individual cases which are set into a nice cardboard boxset. 10€ 😉 A bargain 🙂 Love to have the Anthology picture in such a nice big set. I'd love to add the laserdisc set too but its nowhere to find...

Just before COVID pandemic.
I always listened to Beatles going from school with my Dad. Back then, the first year, it was exciting to read new song titles I'd never heard before. The radio display in the truck only showed 16 characters of title, so I'd be bewildered by new titles; what is Magical Mystery? What is Maxwell's Silver? I'd heard of Yellow Submarine , but what is Octopus's Garden , a sequel?
I ended up hounding my Dad to download ITunes of songs -- once he left me with his account and credit card, spent $300 on the 50th super deluxe editions, only to order the hard copies a year later. I went to the local used record store and bought the CDs - I REVERED the CDs! I stayed up at night thinking, "Ok I phoned ahead, they are holding Let It Be (or Magical Mystery Tour ) and at 11am I will pick it up. Nobody will take it but me!".
One time the nice record dealer gave me Beatles For Sale free, because the CD was scratched - plays 100% fine!
I once got a magazine with all their songs listed by album. I flipped through, mesmerized by the huge colourful prints of artwork - White Album
especially. I also became bewildered again by the new song titles - what is this "Piggies
"? I got to Abbey Road
, thought, OK, that's the end. One page left... Stuck to the back was... Let It Be
?? I'd never heard of "I've Got A Feeling
" or "Maggie Mae
" or even "One After 909
".. I didn't sleep a wink that night, wanting to listen to it, but no way how.
It wasn't until the middle of COVID that I read the Beatles Bible -- one time I had to drive to the Gym and was thinking, "what is this, "Carnival Of Light "? I had all the albums by lockdown, but that summer I finally began downloading MP3s and YouTube audio, got the Get Back sessions, bootlegs and unreleased songs. Read up about "You're In My Little Book" and "Pinwheel Twist". Begged for loans to get Amazon deliveries of "Complete Star Club tapes" and -- actually spent 7 months staring at the wonderful RED cover of the 7" colour vinyl Christmas records, bookmarked the tab of the unavailable CD on Amazon. --
As you can tell, I am a die-hard Beatles fan, makes sense I post so much and know so much.
EDIT:
Anecdotes about certain songs:
-- First time I read @Joe 's list of every Beatles song, I was thinking later, "something about shelter..." A few months later, my Dad and I were driving, Helter Skelter
came on the radio. My dad seemed to get quiet, and muttered quietly about Manson... "heard stuff in the lyrics"... murder... I was curious, but no way of finding out. Made the mistake of googling Manson at midnight in the dark, in my pajamas, in my bed. Immediately got COLD SWEATS looking at him! Stuff of nightmares...

Thanks @LucyInTheSkyWithHackneyDiamonds , I enjoyed reading your post. I saw the titles and heard the Beatle's songs in real time, so I'm always interested to learn more recent exposure stories. For instance, my brother played the entire catalog in chronological order for my nephew in one 13 hour session. That must have been intense! Your Dad sounds cool and yes, the Manson Family was a true horror story that I wish hadn't become part of the Beatles story. The sixties did not end well.
