Hello again, my Beatles buddies! 😀

Some of you know that I am a musician. I’m in the midst of recording an album but it’s very experimental. I’m looking for those kind of radio frequency sounds like in I Am The Walrus . I have been looking on craigslist for an old radio. Anything in particular to for a radio with this kind of sound? Any help would be much appreciated.

Longwave radio but it would need to be manual tuning where you turn the tuning wheel not press a button. That certainly gets the sound in the UK but i havent tried it anywhere else.

What if I bought an old vintage transistor radio?

I would imagine so but dont sue me if not. It would certainly have to be old and not just be the common noise you get today on the portable radios.

Presumably you just need one with a tuning dial rather than buttons. They used to be everywhere in the 80s – I’m sure you could find one in a junk shop.
