^^Not at all. Tell you the truth the technique you used to make George's eyes shine distracted me from looking at the whole portrait . After another look I think the perspective looks just right including the shadowing.

Hehe, yes, that was rather good, wasn't it? I paid special attention to his gorgeous peepers (at risk of ignoring the rest
) so it's fitting.
And as long as you don't compare it to the reference photo, it looks great

This is part one of yet another draw-off between the esteemed @Mademoiselle Kitty >^..^< and I. Hers will be along sooner or later (probably later).

Ooooh, he's gorgeous, @Beatlebug I'd say it's one of your best. Your lines are getting much softer. Very well done!
Mine will be later, I fear. It's been too dark to draw today. I'll do it as soon as the daylight is sufficient.

I do concur
What surprised me was that I as able to finish it in such a short time. Usually I tweak it for days, but this one was complete in under an hour. I'm improving every day!
And I've more...
My grandparents gave me a book about George full of lovely photos (nothing new in the text, of course, but there were many pics I'd not seen), and when I saw this one, I just had to draw it:
And I started this one months ago but only just finished it (FI):
Edit: Damn, I drew him righty! What a stupid mistake! *bangs head on wall*
When I get back home I'll do proper scans. Sorry about the sidewaysness!

Thanks SG for another splendid portrait! Your drawing of Ringo's smile made me smile . It doesn't feel like a Beatle's birthday is complete until you publish a new drawing

It doesn't feel complete for me until my Silly little tradition has been performed, but it's heart-warming to know someone else think so too.
It makes me smile to make you smile.

Very cool portrait indeed, SG! You make my art seem like stick figure crayon drawings done by a four-year-old.
Oh well.

I shall probably do larger, more detailed drawings of them at some point-- I quite like the idea now. Thanks, SS?!

I'm back <-- this smiley is smileying at my new smiley avatar
Anyway, here's the original drawing (I cropped and changed the values for my avatar):
It makes me smiley every time I see it -- though as usual I'm not quite happy with the perspective (after the third #@%ing day of redrawing it, I decided that, like George, 'I Don't Care Anymore'), it's the effect that counts. (RP)
