The things you are saying are really unbelievable and unbelievably ignorant even for a non Beatles fan! I gave plenty of strong great examples which I really shouldn’t have to give,and countless rock music critics,many accomplished music academic scholars,countless well known successful rock and other types of music artists widely recognize how creative,innovative,diverse,prolific and extraordinarily talented they were especially John Lennon and Paul McCartney really were and many call The Beatles the greatest band ever and call John and Paul the two greatest song writers of the 20th century even over their own bands and solo selves.What you are saying only applies to true untalented,boy bands who don’t even play their own instruments,much less be very good musicians as The Beatles were,and they don’t even write their own music much less already write hits for other artists like John and Paul were as early as 1963 just when their own song writing success was getting Off The Ground etc.And I really shouldn’t have to explain this to you at all.

Offline In 1964 The Rolling Stones wrote and recorded a Rice Krispies TV commercial jingle not something cool like a cigarette ad and they also had teen girls screaming at their early concerts.Maybe The Rolling Stones should be called a boy band too.I’m pretty certain The Beatles never wrote and recorded a jingle for a cereal TV commercial.

Offline You are using the some of the same arguments you have used before. How do I know you even read the article? You could just be copying and pasting the same message you always use for anyone who has any criticism of the Beatles.
I suggest instead if you really want to show the Beatles are great is to respond to specific points in Scaruffi’s paper with one post. Your argument will be much stronger otherwise, all your doing is spamming the same stuff over and over again and convincing no one.

Offline The ridiculous thing is that @Randie seems to believe there is a widely held belief among the members of this forum that The Rolling Stones were better. Have never needed to spend much time on this forum arguing that people here are getting it wrong when they say the Stones were better, because – hey ho! Beatles forum, not masses of arguments that they were a crap boy band compared to the Stones here.
I can count those discussions on about one finger…
…that I’ve just chopped off. 
Point is, you’re preaching to the converted here, so there’s no need to show us how we’re under-appreciating our Boys because we really don’t.
Battle of the bands on here, Beatles vs. Stones, it’d easily be about 2-1.
Don’t know why, but lots of people here seem to like the Beatles and don’t need lecturing on why they should, and what makes them special.
Heard the record. Read the book. Drunk from the underwear. Worn the mug. (I was very drunk that day!)
You know, not just a talentless boy band?
