I’m currently selling a pair of 1963 Etrona Beatles boots (men’s size 6-7) on ebay and wondered if any of you might be interested. Collectors say they haven’t seen them on ebay for at least 10 years so if you’d like a pair, now’s your chance! They’re currently going for 99p so you’d stand the chance of getting them for a really good price – and if I have to let them go for less than I expected, I’d rather they went somewhere they were appreciated! These were the iconic Beatles boots, the best known make sold by mail order at the time. Their adverts appeared in NME and MM Magazine:
And became a design icon in their own right, to such an extent that Andy Warhol had them made into one of his silk screen readymades in the mid 1980s:
